Wine Courses

Introduction to Sensory Evaluation of Wine

Whether you are a consumer or in the industry, come extend your wine vocabulary and discover how your individual sense of taste works while learning basic aspects of sensory evaluation often overlooked in most wine tastings.  Through instructive tasting, you will determine your threshold for certain aromas and learn how to identify various flavors in wine, how to find wine faults, how to differentiate between different wine-making methods, and how origin/terroir can affect flavor.  You will also engage in blind tastings as you further expand your understanding of the palate.   This course is extremely popular and enrollment is limited.

Price: The course fee of $120 per person for four sessions includes all wines to be tasted in the course.

Wine Blending Course

You will work with award-winning Winemaker Chanda Miller to learn about the art of wine blending.  After a brief session explaining the history, reasoning and process behind blending, you will begin to develop your own wine, which you will later take one bottle or one case of custom blended wine home with you to share with family and friends. You may choose to develop or blend one of the following wines: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, or Syrah. We will provide a custom wine label and certificate of course completion.  Afterward, you will enjoy a delicious lunch at our fine dining restaurant, followed by a private tour of the winery and the opportunity to sample wines from our barrels.  This is a day that you will not forget.

Price: The all-inclusive course fee is $100 per person for the 1 bottle course or $400 for the case course.
